ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
Alanda “Lana” Anderson is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and completed her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Missouri in St Louis. Lana works with clients of all ages and specializes in the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Lana’s holistic approach is grounded in supporting individuals navigating through grief and loss, anxiety, life transitions, trauma, regulating emotions, and identity exploration.
With Lana, you will experience a warm, calm presence and a person-centered approach that acknowledges all aspects of who you are. She integrates play and sand therapy, trauma-informed care, CBT, mindfulness, and more to support your unique process. Therapy with them emphasizes the connection between the mind and body, while addressing life’s challenges and crossroads.
Her work is informed by her lived experiences of marginalization, racial disparities, social-emotional coaching, and the power of storytelling. As a result, Lana’s clients often feel validated, acknowledged, inspired, and understood. She strives to hold space that is nonjudgmental, culturally responsive, collaborative, creative, and affirming.
In Lana’s words, therapy is…
“Therapy is a safe space to bring all of you with no judgment or expectation to be anything outside of yourself. I hope that clients look forward to having a space to process their thoughts and emotions in a society where the expectation is to move on. I want my clients to know there’s no rush in your healing.”
