ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!

Gabrielle Kunar-Macias is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor, Nationally Certified Counselor, Certified Anxiety-Informed Professional, and holds special training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). She holds a Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health from Lindenwood University and is LGBTQA+ affirming, and culturally sensitive. Her specialties and areas of interest include OCD, phobias, generational and racial trauma, self-esteem, depression, and men’s issues. Gabby is especially passionate about working with clients who are exploring the world of therapy for the first time.

Gabby provides therapy for adults of all walks of life, and adolescents ages 14 and up. Bringing a balanced energy of humor, warmth, and authenticity, Gabby accompanies clients through healing their deepest pain, building self-awareness, facing fears, and several other layers of self-discovery. Furthermore, she tailors her work with you to your specific needs and uses a trauma-informed approach to promote a safe space for you to show up just as you are.

In Gabby’s words, therapy is…

“At times, our world can feel unfair, exhausting, and full of judgment. In a therapeutic relationship, we can learn to allow ourselves to remove the mask that the world expects us to wear, and be accepted and seen for who we are, as we are. Better yet, in therapy, we can become comfy with showing up as we are out in the world as well. In therapy, you may laugh, cry, feel emotions you never thought you could feel, and get in touch with that inner power you always had.”

We might be a good match if…

  • you are looking for a therapist who balances humor and vulnerability

  • you want to heal from generational trauma and break cycles

  • you are looking for a therapist who can deeply empathize with you but also challenge you in a gentle manner

  • you are tired of listening to your inner critic and are ready to embrace self-compassion
