ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!
Jackie Buchheit completed her Master’s in Art Therapy Counseling at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. She works with both adults and adolescents, and has experience supporting individuals navigating identity exploration, depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, grief, and life transitions.
In her sessions, Jackie blends art and talk therapy, offering a flexible approach tailored to your needs. Whether you want to dive deep into creative expression or prefer a more conversational style, Jackie is there to support you. She integrates techniques from DBT, CBT, and mindfulness to guide you on your personal healing journey. Her collaborative and inquisitive nature cultivates a safe space where you can process emotions, manage distress, and build resilience in a way that feels true to you.
Jackie believes that you don’t need to be an artist to benefit from art therapy; all you need is an openness to the idea that creativity can lead to self-discovery. If traditional talk therapy hasn’t fully met your needs, incorporating creative expression can often break down barriers and illuminate new pathways to growth.
In Jackie’s words, therapy is…
Therapy is a safe space to explore true vulnerability and healing with someone who values you for you. It can be scary and painful, but also joyful and life-changing.
We might be a good match if…

you’re looking for a therapist who understands neurodivergence and the challenges of day-to-day life
