ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!

Melody Kim is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William and Mary. Melody works with teens and adults and specializes in anxiety, OCD, and depression.

With Melody, you’ll find a gentle, down-to-earth presence and a space to speak freely without judgment. Many of her clients feel overwhelmed despite appearing “put together” on the outside, often struggling with overthinking, perfectionism, self-doubt, people-pleasing patterns, and high-functioning anxiety. As a second-generation Asian American, she also brings a culturally-informed and identity-aware lens to therapy.

While Melody is all about meeting you where you are in life, she’s specifically trained in helping people interrupt cycles of anxiety and OCD. This can include generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic, phobias, and OCD presentations, including relationship OCD, contamination OCD, scrupulosity, and “just-right” OCD. Her approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and values-based work. Her clients often leave therapy feeling less controlled by fear, kinder toward themselves, and more grounded in their values.

In Melody’s words, therapy is…

Like taking a much-needed water break on a long hike. Therapy gives us a chance to slow down, notice our needs, and adjust our course. Along the way, we begin to feel less alone. We get back on the trail feeling a bit more attuned, refreshed, and able to enjoy the journey.

We might be a good match if…

  • you’re tired of carrying everything on your own

  • you’re ready to begin interrupting cycles of anxiety, OCD, or depression

  • you’re looking for support navigating identity, relationships, cultural expectations, or life transitions
