ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!

Shannon Sobeck is a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of Missouri. Shannon received her MSW from the University of Missouri. She works with teens and adults of all ages. Shannon brings a wealth of social work experience and has held roles in crisis care, substance abuse, rehabilitation, and elder care.

Shannon specializes in supporting those who are navigating ADHD and neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity and self-exploration, grief, trauma, and relational challenges. Her approach blends evidence-based practices with a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental style. Therapy with her is centered around building a deeper connection and trust in yourself, your internal systems, and feeling supported and empowered in your journey.

Shannon believes that every person has the ability to take control of their life and make changes that align with their desires and values, despite how many times it feels like life’s obstacles can get in the way. She strives to create a space that is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and promotes the growth and embracing of your authentic self.

In Shannon’s words, therapy is…

Therapy is a place to explore your internal world, which in turn impacts your physiological well-being and external world. It offers permission to change old patterns and thinking and to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

We might be a good match if…

  • life feels chaotic and overwhelming

  • you’re navigating feeling burnt out, anxious, and/or seeking a safe place to unmask and feel understood

  • if you’ve ever been told or felt that you're "too sensitive," "too much," or "not living up to your potential"

  • you want a therapist who is down to earth, direct, and real, while bringing compassion and humor into the therapeutic space
